Gregory Lorenzutti is a Brazilian-Australian artist and food grower working between the spaces of photography, dance and organic farming. In 2020 he worked with the Ecological Justice Hub helping them with its food relief production and distribution in the Moreland City Council area. He is currently working as a farmer at Fawkner Food Bowls and other pieces of land in and around Melbourne/Australia.
He is passionate about the land — practising urban farming and organic agriculture in order to give back to nature. As a migrant Gregory believes that working with the land and growing food reflects directly in questions about belonging and identity. It speaks about the transience in performance and image and re-inform his long-term practices as an artist. We are nature and communities are stronger when nature & food comes to the centre of the table.
He believes that food growing and ritual arts practices are deeply intertwined and working together in our pursuit of a holistic future.
