Anna Jane Linke founded an environmental non-profit organisation called Seaside Scavenge in 2014 at 22 years old, inspired to harness fun and positive messaging to endgage and activate unaware households to reimagine waste as a resource. Over seven years the programs she designed included 100 events across three continents that educated 10,500 people, removed 15 tonnes of waterway pollution and redistributed 12 tonnes of pre-loved clothes. 73% of participants committed to changing their behaviour. In 2022 she handed the organisation over to Take 3 for the Sea to continue. Now her passion is for food security and getting more people growing their own or accessing affordable local produce. Anna Jane is studying horticulture and actively investigating farming models that provide reliable revenue streams for urban farmers to do the growing whilst educating consumers about where their food comes from.
