Carol Perdigão

President, Just Food Collective

Carol Perdigão is a food system polymath and recent graduate of the Bachelor of Food Studies at William Angliss Institute (Melbourne). She has worked as a chef, cooking instructor, food photographer and stylist, managing a food content agency, and more recently as a research assistant at Sustain, supporting food insecurity research and consultancies for local and state governments. As president of Just Food Collective, she co-designed and facilitated the VicHealth-funded Youth World Food Garden, a series of six food justice workshops held at Sustain's Oakhill Food Justice Farm, to empower young people to develop skills in growing, cooking and sharing healthy food. When not fighting for structural changes in our food system, she enjoys micro-farming on her apartment's balcony and improvising plant-based feasts for her friends.
