Since completing a Master of Environmental Education from Griffith University, Fay has held a variety of sustainability roles. She worked with long-term unemployed participants in a productive kitchen garden, growing food for a social enterprise café in Hawthorn and prior to that Fay was a waste educator at CERES, Frankston City Council and for the Victorian state waste and recycling agency, MWRRG. Based in the north east suburbs of Melbourne, Fay joined the Local Food Connect committee seven years ago. She runs the Eltham Food Swap and organises entertainers for Eltham Farmers’ Market.
