Janet continues enjoying gardening over many years; growing flowers, vegetables, fruit trees and indoor plants. She is often baking, preserving and pickling produce as gifts for others.
Alongside Dr Anita Peerson, Janet has been cooking and gardening since childhood and living on family farms. They both have a history of voluntary community service and community engagement. Their separate journeys travelling overseas over a lifetime have exposed us to international cuisines, vibrant food systems and the importance of local/regional seasonal produce.
