La Vergne has been involved with the Barengi Gadjin Land Council, Traditional Owners in the Wimmera and Grampians region for more than six years – firstly as an independent board member and more recently as the Business Development Adviser. As a committed professional in the sustainability sector, La Vergne is passionate about building local capacity and highlighting the importance of Traditional Owner involvement in revegetation projects and developing an Indigenous Bush Foods Sector where Traditional Owners can lead and manage their own enterprises in this critical and growing food sector.
