Stuart Muir Wilson

Program Coordinator - Ecological Justice Hub, Jesuit Social Service

Stuart is currently the Program Coordinator of the Ecological Justice Hub in Melbourne, Australia, for Jesuit Social Services, an organisation that seeks to bring social & environmental justice together to serve the marginalised & vulnerable. As the grandson of Bill Mollison (co-founder of the Permaculture movement), Stuart had the opportunity from an early age to absorb the concepts and wisdom of ecological design.

As a graduate architect and permaculturist, Stuart has worked in conflict zones, in the midst of ecological catastrophes, and in the field of international development for more than twelve years, in locations ranging from India, Nepal, Eastern Africa, Mexico and the Amazon. Often on the hard edge of social change, where large international organisations have been ineffective for decades, Stuart has an interdisciplinary approach to ecological system design and implementation with a place based approach to addressing food insecurity and systemic problems.
